Getting to Toledo
Toledo doesn't have its own airport yet, so the easiest is to come from Madrid. Here are some options to get to Toledo:
✈️ By plane
- Airport: Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas (MAD)
- Once in Madrid, follow any of the instructions below to get to Toledo by your preferred transportation method
🚂 By train (high-speed)
- Duration: About 34 min
- Departure: Atocha station
- Arrival: Toledo train station
- Price: Typically around 11 to 25 euros
- Frequency: There's normally a train every hour, check the schedule on Renfe's website or on Trainline (recommended)
🚌 By bus
- Duration: 50min to 1h
- Departure: Intercambiador de Plaza Elíptica
- Arrival: Toledo bus station
- Price: Around 5 to 10 euros
- Frequency: Every 15-30 min, but check the schedule on Alsa's website or on Trainline (recommended)
🚗 By car
- Duration: A little shy of an hour (72 km)
- Suggested route: Via A-42 highway (no tolls)
🚴🏼 By bike
- We know we're not the only ones crazy enough to consider it, and yes, you could also make it to Toledo by bike (although we can't promise the way back will be as pleasant after an action-packed weekend 😅)
